2008 Tryouts

Held the last week in January on the M-A girls soccer field.  All athletes must attend tryouts. To attend the tryouts you must get cleared and turn in the completed paperwork to the Athletic Director Pam Wimberly by Jan 23!!! Part of being cleared requires students to have a 2.0 GPA and a physical so start this paperwork during christmas break.

Tentative  Dates

Plan on spending two weeks with us; times TBA (check back at the web site under Latest News). 
Team placement will be announced at the end of the second week.

Who  Should Try  Out?

All athletes who would like to join the team must try out.

Generally, we want first-year (new) boys to realize that they DON'T need lacrosse experience to come out for the team.  We want to encourage everyone who can run to come to tryouts.  You should NOT feel intimidated by lack of knowledge about the sport -- many successful athletes come to us without prior lacrosse experience.

Commitment

Each player must be fully committed to the success of the M-A Boys Lacrosse Team.  Commitment to this team includes daily attendance; accountability; initiative towards self-improvement and the team's improvement; and support of, and respect for every team member.  Our success depends upon the commitment we all make to each other both on, and off the field.  The coaches expect every member to participate every week of the season.  You are expected to adjust your personal schedule to attend the weekend tournaments.
