Phillip White is in his first season with the
Menlo-Atherton Boy’s Basketball program. Coach White was hired near the end of
the 2006-2007 school year, after serving as the Head Varsity Boy’s Basketball
coach, at W.C. Overfelt High School, in San Jose. Coach White compiled a record
of 50-49, in his four seasons at Overfelt, leading the Royals to a BVAL-Santa
Teresa Division championship during the 2004-2005 campaign. He took Overfelt to
the CCS Division II Quarterfinals, losing to Archbishop Riordan by five points,
after beating Gunn High School, in the first round. Prior to his tenure at
Overfelt, Coach White served as a head coach at every level of high school boy’s
basketball, at various Bay Area locations, since 1994. Coach White has been
fortunate to win at least a share of a championship, at each stop including a
J.V. championship, at Sacred Heart Prep 2002-2003, F/S championship, at Silver
Creek (S.J.) 1999-2000, Frosh championship, at James Logan (Union City)
1994-1995 (Co), 1996-1997. Coach White is certified through the American Sports
Education Program (ASEP).
Coach White grew up in San Jose, where he attended Oak
Grove High School, and has been a San Jose Police Officer for over ten years.
Coach White is newly married to the former Mary Anne Paguyo, of San Jose and has
a ten year old daughter Alyssa and a thirteen year old step-daughter also named
Alyssa (“Isa”-pronounced: Eye-suh) Coach White and his family reside in the City
of Fremont.

Tim Bowler is the F/S coach and previously coached M-A basketball for 4 years
and M-A baseball for 6 years. He is a national certified coach as well as a
National Board Certified Physical Education Teacher.
